BARN Sweet BARN – Give Me Some Kisses

Howdy,

Living on the farm is indeed a blessing from GOD, I thank GOD each and every day for all of our blessings.  Thank you Jesus!

Our sweet donkeys love to have kisses on the nose each and every time I am down in the barn.  Little Rocket Man our mini donkey will nudge me in the leg to remind me if I happen to forget as his little tiny mini donkey nose is low to the ground and Rio well those big eyes are always saying “Give Me Some Kisses” each time I see him.  Even my horse enjoys kisses every once in a while.  I think kisses are like a smile they make our brain release the much needed endorphins and whatever is going south in the human world is better after a few kisses.

Here are a few of my favorite “Give Me Some Kisses” photos. Enjoy!

  1. Oh Melody. You dear sweet girl. I do not exaggerate when I say that your post here, mostly all about kisses, but actually about love, is truly the most compelling, emotional, beautiful post I’ve ever had the pleasure of finding. It just hit all the buttons for me. Each picture was just more amazing or touching or all of the above, haha, than the next. Each time I thought this has to be my favorite one, another would quickly take my heart. Honestly if I had to go tonite, if this was the big grande finale for old Cissy, I would want to be doing nothing more than sitting here on my bed, gazing at your beautiful face, your beautiful hair, your beautiful hands, and just feel your heart coming right out here just for me. I don’t know what prompted you to give us this post, but on a personal connection, for me, it is your very best work, for sure. I believe that some of us have a bit more challenges than others, and when this happens, I believe it’s not only okay, but very important, to learn how to reach out to others, and let the emotion show. It’s okay. I might be a little shy in saying this here, but Melody, you are a true and wondrous treasure. All the beings, and human beings around you, must radiate in the presence of your heart. i bet when your husband looks into your eyes, well… it’s hard to put into words. I was feeling pretty whipped today, no matter how much I didn’t want to feel that way, and now, thanks to you, pretty girl, I’m going to be okay, I think. Melody, Melody. Thank you for being so generous and so selfless for us. You must surely know that so so many benefit from what you teach.

    1. Dear Cissy,

I’m sorry you are having such a hard day life can be so hard and then all of the sudden GOD shines the light on us and we smile again. GOD is amazing he wants us to share our blessings with others I am very grateful for all of my blessings. You are a blessing! Thank you for reading my blog and sharing how these photos helped you today. GOD bless you!

  2. P.S. I hope its okay, but I saved a few of these for myself… I called the spotted donkey with the hand – “melliangelo” !!! And Hi Ho Silver doing the raspberry just cracks me up!

    1. Sure you can that’s why I share them to bring a smile to others. The spotted one with my hand is Ritz Rio (our Mammoth donkeys) daddy. The blond with the tongue out is my horse Lily after a good run and buck.

  3. Absolutely wonderful, Melody. Thank you for your reminders that our world (the Creation) contains such funny, precious creatures as donkeys! If I could help with them, I’d try. In the meantime, we enjoy life with a fiesty, affectionate Chihuhua, and a demanding Miniature Pinscher who has a special internal clock for meals and treats.
