Select How to grow Cacti
How often do you water a cactus plant?
Outdoors
How often do I water and fertilize: While growing, cacti and succulents should be watered at least once a week. Some people water more often than this. During each watering, give the soil a good soaking, so that water runs out of the ‘drainage holes’ of the pots.
Indoors
With indoor cacti, it’s better to under-water, about once a month, rather than over-water. A cactus can survive without water for many, many months; but rot is an instant killer. Using a moisture meter will eliminate all the guesswork; otherwise, you can water whenever the soil is completely dry.
Select Keeping Cactus Alive
As soon as fall comes I must say goodbye to my beautiful flower garden. I created this beautiful cactus flower garden last weekend. I am excited to experience growing cactus to keep my home full of bright colors and joy.

What a lovely display. I have not tried growing cacti indoors or indeed outdoors given the Irish climate.
