Did you know mini donkeys cannot defend themselves against predators?
Coyotes, pack of dogs and more. Our livestock guarding dog protects our entire twenty acre farm. He is a smart, independent thinker. Not for the first time dog owner. Like a donkey in many ways we must learn quickly how to train the Live Stock Guarding dog never using abuse, train as a puppy. I train using resistant free methods. Never ever abusing this smart dog. A fair leader is needed 100% of the time for all animals.
The Livestock Guarding dog requires a leader for a human.

Mini Donkeys Cannot Defend Themselves From A Predator
Why do we use the Livestock Guarding Dog (LGD) on the Donkey Whisperer Farm?
These dogs have a bark to keep the predators away from our farm animals. The LGD is instinctively bred to bark at the predator and protect their farm animals. The LGD is not a herding dog. This is not a dog for the first time dog owner, these dogs need a fence, lot’s of exercise and we must remember they are very smart.
Mini donkeys cannot defend themselves. All animals need a leader and a great fence.
