Animal lovers in Spain have reacted with fury after a young donkey, held in a pen as part of a Nativity scene, died after being sat on.
The donkey, named Platero, was being held in the town of Lucena, in the Cordoba province, as part of their annual Christmas celebrations.
He was being held with other animals in the Nativity – and were not supposed to be touched by the public.
But on December 10 a man climbed over the fence and, in a photo widely shared on social media, sat on the small animal’s back.

The donkey can carry no more than 20% of his or her weight before causing damage. Please use common sense when traveling on vacation. Please think about what you are doing to the helpless donkeys trapped in greed.

Please remember a donkey is most happy when living with another donkey. Usually two jennies are happiest together and two geldings. A jack (stallion horse world) usually must live alone. A jack is not for the beginner.

I love the beginning of the new year as this is a time to reflect on our past dreams and goals. Thank GOD for all of our blessings. Plan for the new year projects and goals as some dreams were planned years ahead and now they are ready to be born. Living on a farm teaches life has seasons.
Spring, summer, fall and winter:
All of these seasons are very important for the farm crops to grow. Just like the farm has seasons so do people.
Time management is important as our world is spinning faster and faster each and every day.
The difference in completing goals and not is making a plan, asking experts for help. Education is a life long process, the mind needs to continue learning to stay strong. I enjoy teaching just as much as I enjoy learning. No one can do everything without help, sometimes it is hard to ask for help. We all need one another to make the world a better place. I enjoy training the owner to train the donkey. Why? Donkeys are smart not stubborn. The donkey is always looking for a leader who is fair. Never for a bully or abuser.
We pray, wait and work hard for everything we do. Patience is very important while waiting depending on the issue and our personality this can be easy or difficult. This I know for sure. If I do not pray, prepare and plan nothing will change. I want to try to make a difference in this great big world.

Kidney Failure In Cats
One of our two rescue kitties (black Purcilla) manx mix died two weeks ago of kidney failure she was only eight years old. We adopted two feral kitties from PAWS in 2008.
Our Anatolian puppy sat down next to her barked once to alert me something was wrong. She went into shock and then the vet had to put her to sleep. This all happened so fast. Rest in peace sweet Purcilla you had the best life we could give you.
This kitty could not go to the vet ever. She was a feral rescue and refused to be touched or held.
Lessons learned from rescuing feral kitties?
- These cats will not adapt to humans in a way to enjoy being held and loved.
- They will show you they appreciate your home and love.
- Feral kitties will learn house rules and are smart.
- Not all feral kitties should live outside. Our kitties lived indoors 100% of the time and were happy.
Feral:
- A feral cat is a cat who has either never had any contact with humans or her contact with humans has diminished over time. She is fearful of people and survives on her own outdoors. A feral cat is not likely to ever become a lap cat or enjoy living indoors.
- Kittens born to feral cats can be socialized at an early age and adopted into homes. Maybe!

Rest in Peace Sweet Purcilla! Purcilla died three weeks ago it has taken me this long to talk about it on my blog. She was a feral rescue meaning she never really liked people. She loved us we know for sure, she loved our dogs too. Our kitties were indoor only kitties.

After surviving a life threatening motor vehicle accident I was stuck in bed and a chair for most of three years. I attended physical therapy for three years, two and three times a week. Love Life. Share love, I learned to Blog and I gave free donkey training lessons to people who owned donkeys all over the world. I wanted to continue to use my brain and help others. This is something the bible teaches us. Stop thinking about ourselves and help others. Not easy to do in the beginning but the more you do it the better you feel.

Stop feeling bad about everything I failed at. Let it go! Look forward as GOD gave us eyes in the front of our head for a reason. Learn from our past mistakes but move on!

Meet people, rejoice, laugh, smile and understand that I am lucky. Many people had it much harder than me.

Live my life with a grateful attitude. Surround myself with positive people and energy.
