2021 has become a new year for donkeys and weddings, in fact, more and more couples are bringing a little bit of Jesus into their wedding. Yes, I said Jesus, did you know that donkeys have a cross on their back? Yes, all donkeys have a cross on their back even the black donkeys. Trained donkeys are now carrying the drinks, flowers, food video cameras and are totally bringing a blessing to each wedding.
Did you know that Easter really has nothing to do with decorating eggs and hunting for candy? Easter is the resurrection day!
Here are a few bible verses explaining what Easter is all about:
Luke 24:6-7: “He is not here; he has risen!”
Acts 3:15: “You killed the author of life, but God raised him from the dead.”
John 11:25-26: “Jesus said to her, ‘I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?'”
1 Peter 1:3: “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.”
1 Corinthians 15:21: “For since death came through a man, the resurrection of the dead comes also through a man.”
Philippians 3:10: “I want to know Christ—yes, to know the power of his resurrection and participation in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death.”
Acts 4:33: “With great power the apostles continued to testify to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. And God’s grace was so powerfully at work in them all.”
Romans 8:34: “Who then is the one who condemns? No one.”
Philippians 2:8: “And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to death— even death on a cross!”
1 Corinthians 6:14: “And God raised the Lord and will also raise us up by his power.”
Romans 6:9: “We know that Christ, being raised from the dead, will never die again; death no longer has dominion over him.”

2020 is the year of sitting down and re-thinking how to keep our families and business healthy. How to adapt to our new way of life. For most of us, the pandemic created a dramatic change or shift in thinking and behavior. Jesus brings peace.“Submit to God and be at peace with him; in this way, prosperity will come to you.” JOB 22:21 NIV
Are you a city person or a farm person?
Living on a farm seems to be a simpler way of life in so many ways living with covid our farm is truly a blessing. For us, the Covid was not much different than our normal life. You see, we have so much to do on the farm, each day the donkeys and horses and doggies need to be fed and cared for. Last spring my husband Scott planted the seed (hay) in the field during the beginning of the pandemic. While city folks were trying to find ways to adapt we were just living our natural way of life. The sad part was we could not have visitors on the farm, we look forward to having our most fragile world return to normal.
If you are having a hard time finding anything positive in 2020 let’s think outside the box. It’s easy to get caught up in what’s wrong in our lives and miss what’s positive or going well. If you have lost a loved one in 2020, I am deeply sorry for your pain I pray GOD gives you peace. I truly understand suffering and pain and my heart breaks for your pain. Please know this too shall pass. Jesus will bring peace “Start each day in prayer, meditating on the good things in your life.” Thank Jesus for something good in your life every day, God loves all of his children deeply.

Donkey Whisperer Farm ®
Meet Rio our Mammoth donkey. Rio has been in our life since he was nine months old he turns thirteen this summer.
Interesting fact; Mammoth donkeys are rare as they are man-made. Standard or burro donkeys are the normal size donkeys. Miniature donkeys are man-made too. Rio is my riding donkey he stands 16’2 hands tall at the withers not the ears.
Donkeys are human healers. If you ever get the chance to meet a donkey I highly recommend it. Donkeys are truly gifts from God.

God knows what he is doing. Did you ever stop and think how some people are just placed in our life instantly? How some people are burned out of our life instantly? Its true. God knows what we need before we know what we need. God has a plan and this plan is much bigger than we could ever understand. GOD is the alpha omega the beginning and end. God has counted every hair on our head. God is in control of everything. Nothing happens by mistake. When we understand how GOD works with the universe and his children everything becomes peaceful. God in Jesus Christ name is amazing.
Our first Thanksgiving in our new home. Fresh flowers are such an important part of my life, I truly savor each morning I get to enjoy fresh flowers. A little share into my life, I am a master gardener, my home of twelve years had fresh flowers I could cut fresh flowers ten months out of the year. I found these flowers at my grocery store while picking up the turkey, not really sure how I would place them in the vase.
Fresh flowers are simply beautiful, I wish I could freeze them in time. Thank you Jesus as each day is precious and a gift from God. Tomorrow is unknown.
We purchased our farm land in 2013 with nothing on it, nothing, well two pear trees and one apple tree, a hay-field. My best friend and husband has worked so very hard next to me to make this a farm and our home. This is our forever home, we will live our last days here on earth. We lived in our 5th wheel for three years before getting to move into our home.
Fresh flowers have no place in tiny living. As you can see I am savoring each day I get to enjoy these beautiful flowers.

Meet my husband and best friend Scott Johnson, we have been partners for almost twenty-six years. This man is the reason I am able to be bold and step out in the world. Starting a new business is always exciting, terrifying, and overwhelming as we may see our tiny business grow or not. Starting a new business in agriculture is even more of a risk as the experts are quick to calculate how this little business will fail. The startup costs of a farm are indeed high, risks are higher. I truly believe in GOD in Jesus Christ name. Without GOD to guide me, give me creative ideas and the strength to first step out and try, second never give up I could not do this.
Each person living on this planet has twenty-four hours a day to do something. Some people refuse to use even a small percentage of their day in a productive way as well they are stuck in their sorrow and grief. Failure has become an idol something they hold tight, day and night. Every failure is an opportunity to grow and learn how not to make the mistake again. Seems as we age the risk is higher to not try. I simply do not want to be taking my last breath and wondering if I could have succeeded at my little business. I do not want to say “WHAT IF” on my death bed.
Making the world a better place for donkeys and the humans who love them. This is what my dream and goal is, my purpose. Donkeys are the most abused of all the equine. Donkeys deserve to wear beautiful quality tack that fits a donkey not a horse. Donkeys deserve to be trained using resistance free methods, never abuse. Starting a worldwide business is a little overwhelming as social media spreads quickly. The customer base is worldwide. This is a huge challenge. I simply give the Donkey Whisperer Farm business to God in Jesus Christ name. I am simply not smart enough to do this without GOD guiding me.
