Happy 10th Birthday Miss Lily

Friends of the Donkey Whisperer Farm,

Wow I find it so hard to believe that today my horse Miss Lily a double registered quarter horse and Palomino is ten years old. Here is a look into the life of one amazing horse. I call Miss Lily Mr. Ed’s wife (the talking horse) as she is this smart. 🙂

April, 2015, Melody and Miss Lily and her new buddy (our new project horse Miss Trophy black learning to trust me)

The day we bought Miss Lily at the farm she was born on in Poulsbo, WA. Let the games begin!

Lily is 2 here and Rio the Mammoth donkey is 1

Last fall on the farm running free on 10 acres for a few hours

For those of you who love horses, donkeys and mules to you I write this. “Nothing is better than the love I have for my horses and donkeys. They are angels from GOD sent to me, to make me stronger, a better person, a better wife, mother, and a better teacher.”

This mare, Miss Lily has been living with me since she was twenty months old. She captured my heart the very first time I met her. I love this horse dearly and believe me she is never for sale ever. Along with all of my six donkeys and Miss Trophy my new project horse as they are in their forever homes.

The love of any animal for a human is special. Domesticated animals depend on their owner to provide all of their every day needs, picking up poop, feeding, clean water, shots as needed, dental care, hoof care and most of all love and patience as their way is not always ours but they are truly the window a mirror to our inner self. To get the opportunity to train your own horse, mule or donkey will change you life in every way. Confidence is a big deal in this world, goals are important, working with a 1000 pound equine will forever change your life. Never forget if you get the chance to grab a dream go get it as life is fragile and precious.

GOD bless you and your family two and four-legged!

Melody
