This is Tuba he is in his 20’s now and is one of our rescue donkeys. He is 100% sound again. Sadly, all donkeys can get a hoof abscess it is best to get soaking and building a boot. The vet is called if after 3 days of soaking and wearing poultice no black gunk comes out. Sometimes the hoof abscess is so bad the vet has to cut a hole.
He’s so cute. Poor thing with a hurt hoof. So amazing to know this about them. I’ve never been around a donkey before. I think they are so cute. Keep doing what you do! xx
